A nice & sunny recording session at the airport! positioned right at the flight path of departing planes, this served as a test recording for the tascam dr-40x. At some point during the session i decided to point the recorder straight up, instead of towards the planes themselves, creating a nice stereo "pass-by" effect.

Just some noise of my casio as-51r cassette player i had left over when i had taken what i was after from my recordings. Perhaps there's some use for it, i honestly don't know, but i thought i would upload in case someone needs it. Recorded with a samsung galaxy s21, edited with audacity 2. 4. 2.

A technical problem i had with my technics stereo cassette desk rs-5 where playback would deliver this fading squarewave at maximum volume. Apparently, it could have been an issue with the tape header wearing out. Thought i might as well upload it here, as i'm not sure anyone will be able to create this sound again. Note, this sound was de-amplifiied by 10 db in audacity 3. 1. 3. Simply put, the raw file was incredibly loud. If you're curious enough, you can increase it back up to its original volume, though i wouldn't advise it.

Door handle in my kitchen looped four times. Recorded with a tascam dr-05x. Noise reduction applied with a dose of vintage warmer. Is it warmer? i don't know.

A man calls cows for milking "allez!", some cows gently moo, hooves on concrete floor. The milking machine start, a woman voice is also calling the animals. Answering machine recorded (from my moto g4) saying that the number you are calling is off or unavailable (in spanish). You can easily cut the beginning, when the company movistar is mentioned. Recorded in protools + roland quad capture + akg ck93 miccleaned with wns plugin.

Field recording of a set of mechanical escalators recorded on a zoom h6 stereo mic (i think).

Here are the sounds i recorded:- the "loose parts" sounds were a slightly unscrewed valve on a trumpet. - the hydraulic leg-lifting noise was a hatch door opening on a van. - the metal foot hitting the ground was me banging on a metal garage door. - the humming engine noise (it's quiet) was a roll of duct tape spun on a wooden board. - the various other clanks and pops were the same trumpet noises, just edited a bunch. One day while playing the mobile game crossy road, i my sound being used for one of the characters. If you end up using my sound, let me know! i'd love to know what kind of things it's being used in. This is called "three-legged robot walker with loose parts" because it was a foley assignment for my sound design course years ago. This was one of the obscure things the professor gave the class that we had to interoperate and create using only our own recorded/edited foley effects. The class voted on the best one, and mine turned out to be the winner.

A passing grocery cart corralling machine used in parking lots to assist with returning buggies to the store. The presumably electric motor and slight jiggle of the metal carts can be heard. Sound is loopable.

A czech guy named "staney the robot man" who lives in prague build this little synth. It's completely handmade and consists of a bunch of analog circuitry that when powered creates strange oscillations in current. It's also built into a seseame street toy saxophone. This set sounds like a robot talking. If chopped up and sequenced you could do a lot with it.

While i was recording someone sharpening a garden scrape on a dual stone grinding machine, the utensil got stuck between one of the stones and a metal protective bracket, creating a terrifying noise until the motor gives up. Multiple gunshots recorded at an indoor gun range. Many of the shots are from an ak47, including single shots and full auto. There is some background noise, but there are some good clear shots in there that can be easily cut out and used. Unfortunately the original recording is only mp3 and the recorder had auto-gain set so some shots are recorded louder than others, but there are still some usable shots in there.

I was trying to record noise outside my house with my phone, but when i tried to amplify the noise, this was the result. Thank you to renard_v for pointing out that these are decoding artifacts/compression artifacts. I didn't know it can sound like that when amplified.

As these are recorded using binaural in-ear mics, i purposefully attempt not to turn my head to keep the sound clean and coming from the same direction. Of course, if you don't want binaural audio you can always easily convert to mono. This is a recording of me approaching a soda machine in my apartment complex, swiping my credit card in the new, handy-dandy credit card slot, and dispensing a coke zero (in case you really needed to know). Safe for all production as it is voice free. I kept the peaks very low to maintain a natural sound. Enjoy!. Christopher c. Courter.
